If you have a sweet tooth, donuts are likely at the top of your list! These delicious cottage cheese donuts are made without yeast, which means there’s no need to wait for dough to rise. You can enjoy these quick, yeast-free treats in just minutes. They are lightly sweet, perfectly bite-sized, and finished with a generous dusting of powdered sugar.

  1. Grind the cottage cheese with the sugar. Add the egg and yolk, then stir until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Sift the flour with the salt and baking powder, then combine the cottage cheese mixture with the flour mixture.
  3. Heat the oil in a small, deep saucepan.
  4. Using your hands, roll the dough into balls about the size of a walnut (approximately 25 g each).
  5. Deep fry the donuts in the hot oil until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.

Here is a little secret: to help the powdered sugar coat the donuts beautifully, use very fine sugar. You can also briefly grind regular sugar in a coffee grinder or blender to make the grains smaller.
