While chocolate might seem like the main attraction in this chocolate-apple cupcake recipe, the real secret lies in the apples. They are what infuse these treats with incredible flavor and ensure a delightfully moist texture that prevents them from drying out.
Ingredients
Chocolate-apple cupcake
- 85 gr flour
- 40 gr cocoa powder (no sugar)
- 75 gr brown sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 large egg
- 65 ml milk
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- vanilla
- 1 small apple (grated) about 100 gr
- 90 gr chocolate chopped
Instructions
- Start by combining the flour, cocoa powder, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, thoroughly mix all the liquid ingredients: eggs, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla, and the grated apple. Next, gently combine the dry mixture with the liquid ingredients, then fold in the chopped chocolate. Pour the resulting batter into your prepared forms. Finally, bake the cupcakes at 180 degrees for about 40-50 minutes.
