Delishu
Delishu: A Fresh Visual Story for Vegan Yogurt

Delishu is a dairy-free yogurt alternative made from fermented cashews, and the request sounded simple at first: create a fresh set of product images. In reality, the brief came from the graphic designer behind the brand, who needed polished visuals for her updated portfolio while also keeping the images useful for banners, social media, and broader brand storytelling. The whole shoot needed to stay light, fresh, and close to the feeling of a real morning in the kitchen.
That became the direction for the whole session. We did not want to photograph the product in isolation and stop there. We wanted to show how Delishu sits on a table, next to breakfast ingredients, in a hand, in a moment that feels natural. Styled, yes, but still believable.
A Small Visual System
We planned the shoot around four needs:
- a clean catalog image
- an ingredient-led image
- a human-element shot
- a few lifestyle scenes with room for banners and social crops
That structure kept the work focused. Instead of making many similar frames, we built a compact set of images the client could actually reuse. Before the shoot, we also prepared a simple storyboard to align the atmosphere and shot direction early, so the session itself could stay clear and efficient.
Olga sourced the props herself, choosing fresh ingredients and details that matched the brief, including berries, vanilla pods, cashews, and other elements that supported the Mediterranean mood. She even offered to make the liquid caramel herself if the styling needed it. In food photography, freshness shows up in small ways. It changes the texture, the color, and the overall feel of the image.
What Happened on Set
Before the main shots even started, Olga spotted a problem: some of the Delishu pots bought from local stores were dented and too soft. Most likely, the packaging material had changed. It was the kind of detail that can quietly weaken a clean commercial image and then create extra retouching work later.
Instead of pushing through and hoping post-production would fix it, we stopped and flagged it immediately. That helped protect the final result and saved unnecessary cleanup later.

The catalog frame gave Delishu a practical image for listings, cutouts, and any place where the product needed to be shown clearly.

The cashew shot helped tell the product story in a single glance.
Bringing the Product Closer
One of the requested directions was a human element, and it became one of the strongest parts of the shoot. In product photography, a hand in frame changes the tone of the image. It can make the product feel elegant, relaxed, premium, or more personal.

The client even joked that Olga’s hands were beautiful enough for a modeling career. It was a warm comment, but also a useful one. It suggested that the human element felt natural for the brand.
The Result
The final selection gave Delishu a group of images that covered catalog use, ingredient storytelling, human interaction, and lifestyle. The client approved the set with only minor retouching notes and described the work as “excellent stylization and understanding for the shots.” They also mentioned the communication and attention to detail throughout the process.

What worked well here was not only the look of the images, but the way they worked together. Each frame had a role, and together they gave the brand a visual language that felt consistent, useful, and easy to apply across different formats. As the client put it, we visibly do things with pleasure and thought.
