Ingredients
For the Bundt Cake Dough
- 3 large eggs
- 200 gr sugar
- a pinch of salt
- vanilla extract
- 160 gr butter
- 260 gr cream cheese
- 300 gr flour
- 15 gr baking powder
- zest of 2 oranges
- 75 gr cream
- 20 gr butter
For the Caramel Glaze
- 90 gr sugar
Instructions
- Homemade Caramel Glaze
Heat the sugar in a saucepan until it caramelizes. Carefully add the hot cream. Reduce the heat, stirring continually, and wait until the mixture stops bubbling. Remove from the heat, add the butter, and beat with a blender to create a smooth, luscious caramel glaze for your cake.
For the Orange Cream Cheese Bundt Cake
Preheat your oven to 175 degrees.
In a bowl, mix the sugar and softened butter until smooth and creamy. Add the cream cheese, then incorporate the eggs, salt, and vanilla one at a time, mixing well with the fresh orange zest. Sift the flour with baking powder into the wet mixture. Mix everything thoroughly until you get a thick, rich dough. Transfer the prepared batter into your bundt pan. Place it in the oven at 170 C and bake for approximately 45-55 minutes.
Check the finished cake for doneness with a wooden skewer – it should come out clean.
