Ingredients
Wet Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 eggs
- 120ml milk
- 60ml vegetable oil
- 90g sugar
- 3 tbsp nut butter (tahini or other)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients:
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 50g cocoa powder
- A pinch of salt
Add-ins:
- 100g chocolate chips, plus extra for sprinkling
- Nuts, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper, preparing it for your chocolate banana bread.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas, then whisk in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, nut butter, and vanilla extract until well combined for your banana bread batter.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
