Cottage Cheese (Curd) Easter Dessert
Yield: 1 Easter curd Dessert
Ingredients
Cottage Cheese Easter Dessert
-
150g candied fruits (soak in hot orange juice or rum for 30 minutes)
-
280g dry cottage cheese (9% fat)
-
80g butter (room temperature)
-
70g high-fat sour cream
-
90g powdered sugar
-
Orange zest
-
Vanilla
-
Optional decoration (I used berries)
Instructions
Mold size: Wide base 11x11 cm and height - 11 cm.
Instructions:
Soak the candied fruits in hot orange juice for 30 minutes, then drain. Place them on a paper towel to remove excess moisture. Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve and mix with butter and powdered sugar using a mixer. Alternatively, blend them directly with an immersion blender, as I did. Add orange zest and vanilla, then incorporate the sour cream and stir with a spatula. Mix the candied fruits into the cottage cheese mixture. Line a mold with cheesecloth. Transfer the cottage cheese mixture into the mold, tapping gently to ensure it spreads evenly. Refrigerate overnight. In the morning, decorate with berries.
This traditional dessert is perfect for celebrations and adds a festive touch with its rich and creamy texture. Enjoy your homemade cottage cheese Easter treat!
